FIRST aid volunteers in Worcestershire have begun the countdown to their 75th anniversary.
Volunteers in Droitwich are set to get on the history trail this month as they invite new and old members to get in touch with them in the run up to their 75th anniversary celebrations.
St John Ambulance’s Droitwich branch was formed in March 1935 and has been based at the Old Library Centre in Ombersley Street East for the last seven years where it provides emergency first aid cover in and around Worcestershire and the West Midlands.
The anniversary celebrations will take place at the Gaudet Luce Golf Club, Hadzor, on Friday, March 26, and Richard Brown, who has been the unit leader for five years, is asking former members of the unit or their relatives to contact him regarding the evening or simply for stories and photos that they can use for displays on the night.
For information on the events contact Mr Brown on 07801 495664 or by e-mail Richard.brown@ droitwich.sja.org.uk.
