PETER Luff, MP for Mid Worcestershire has pledged to do his bit for the Armed Forces.
Mr Luff met with a delegation from the Royal British Legion (RBL) at Westminster to get behind the charity’s call for general election candidates of all parties to improve conditions for service personnel, veterans and service families.
Mr Luff said: “I was really pleased to have been given this opportunity to pledge to do my bit. I know the work the legion does for the whole Armed Forces family, nationally and here in Worcestershire.
“That work matters not just to me but to so many of my constituents as well.”
Kevin Shinkwin, RBL’s head of public affairs, said: “Both the serving and ex-service community need the support of politicians.
“Our manifesto outlines practical ways the next government can help, and we hope all the parties will give it serious consideration.”
We previously reported how Worcester’s Labour MP Mike Foster and West Worcestershire Conservative candidate Harriett Baldwin have also signed up to the pledge.
