We’re both hoping for pageant joy

TWO more Worcester girls are hoping to be crowned winners in an online beauty pageant.

Helen Major has made it through to the February heats of Miss Teen Queen 2010, while Ellie Jones is in the running to be named Miss Teen Princess. But both girls need more people to vote if they are to make it to the final.

Eighteen-year-old Helen, who grew up in Droitwich and recently moved to Hill Avenue in Worcester, was spotted at the Clothes Show Live in Birmingham. The former Droitwich High School and Worcester Sixth Form College student travelled to London for a professional photo shoot.

She said: “It’s been really exciting and the photo shoot was an amazing experience.”

Ellie, 13, of Colletts Green, near Worcester, is equally excited about being in the contest.

Mum Debbie said: “I think she’ll be upset if she doesn’t get through, but she’s really enjoyed taking part.”

To vote for Helen and Ellie, log onto missteen queenuk.com and follow the instructions. Votes must be in by tomorrow.

Thousands of girls enter the online contest every month. The overall winner will receive clothes and accessories, a fashion portfolio, a range of make up, tanning and hair-styling tools and an introduction to Rage Model Agency.

Miss Teen Queen 2010 will go on to represent the UK in an international pageant, as well as making an appearance at the Clothes Show Live in Birmingham.
