THE heartbroken mum of Gabby Grady has spoken of her love for the five-year-old who died yesterday.

The youngster had fought for life for three days after being pulled from the river Avon in Evesham after a car, driven by her father, plunged into the icy water.

Her six-year-old brother, Ryan, was released from hospital yesterday having originally been admitted in a "critical" condition.

Christopher Grady has since been charged with two counts of attempted murder, although it is expected that a murder charge will replace one of the indictments.

The family of five-year-old Gabrielle ‘Gabby’ Grady have issued a tribute to her.

Gabby died in Birmingham Children’s Hospital on February 14th following an incident in the River Avon at Evesham on February 11th.

Many family members and close friends wanted to contribute to this statement and below are just a small number of those tributes. There is also a section attributed to just Gabby’s mother, Kim Wise, 36.

Joint statement from family members including Kim, Auntie Ria, Uncle Rick, Auntie Helen and the kids, brother bobby, big sis Megan, Kristy, Jess and Scott. Jane, Nathan and Jessie: “Gabby was doted on by her whole family and everyone who knew her, including her little friends. She was mad for skipping, skating, dancing, music, nail varnish and make-up. She was a girly girl that loved pink and appreciated everything.

“She loved straightening her hair and was going to be a ‘hair straightener’ when she grew up!

“We are devastated at the loss of beautiful Gabby but would like to take a moment to thank everybody who has wished her well, those that loved her and those that never met her.

“We would also like to thank the breathtaking emergency services and staff at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. From PC Wayne Hurley who gave huge comfort to Kim, to the police officers who rescued Ryan, the paramedics and divers and the fire brigade who were all phenomenal.

“We would also like to thank our police family liaison officers, DC Cal Oliver and PC Sean Woods. We would not have managed without them. Everyone worked together to help Gabby and Ryan and we are so very grateful.”

Kim Wise: “What do I love about Gabby? EVERYTHING. The cutest smile you have ever seen, on the cutest angel there has ever been.

“Bed time cuddles were always the best, her little podgy fingers wrapped round my neck, noses touching, just breathing each other in.

“Gorgeous baby girl, sparkling like a diamond in my life. Beautiful beyond belief. Bubbly, sparkly, funny and sweet. I thought you came into my life forever to keep.

“My loss is forever, but you will be with me for all time. Lots of love, hugs and kisses. Mommy.”

Gabby’s big sister Megan: “My little sister was the most beautiful little girl in the world. When it was a rainy day her smile lit up the sky. When she danced and spun around she looked like a beautiful princess.”

Gabby’s older brother Bobby: “I love you with all my heart, always have, always will, love you once, love you still. Say hello to nanny Daisy for me. Love you scabs.”

Gabby’s Auntie Ria: “Our Gab was a happy go lucky little girl with a beautiful smile, who loved pink. She was a much loved little lady, how will we ever recover?”

Jane, Nathan and Jessie: “May the angels wrap you in a blanket of love and keep you safe. Rest in peace our little friend.”

Uncle Rick, Auntie Helen and kids: “Such a beautiful little niece. She always had a smile for everybody. Will always be loved and remembered.”
