Tom’s wind turbine pictures grace city's smallest gallery

TO some people they’re eyesores, but to one art student wind turbines are a thing of beauty.

In fact, University of Worcester student Thomas Hinton likes them so much he’s dedicated an entire exhibition to them.

Mr Hinton’s show, featuring a series of striking paintings based on observational drawings of wind turbines, are currently on display at Worcester’s smallest exhibition space, the Spine Skateshop and Gallery in the Hopmarket.

Mr Hinton is studying fine art at the university. His final degree show will be held at the Garage, off Hylton Road, St John’s, in May.

Spine owner Chris Bourke said: “We’re really happy to have Tom’s work on the wall. His paintings are great and it’s nice to be able to provide an outlet which supports young, local artists.”

The exhibition at Spine runs until Saturday, April 10.
