A WORCESTERSHIRE pub is to host a fundraising party for injured soldiers.
The Berkeley Arms at Spetchley, near Worcester, will hold the Help for Heroes event on Friday, March 26, raising money for the national charity that supports wounded servicemen and women and their families. There will be 1940s live music, a disco, a raffle, an auction and prizes for the best fancy dress. Tickets are £15 per person.
Help for Heroes was founded in October 2007 to help the wounded men and women returning from war in Afghanistan and Iraq.
In June the Berkeley Arms is hosting a summer ball to continue raising funds for the cause.

Do you really think £15k per annum is a lot of money to fight Brown/Blair's Wars? Ben Parkinson is just one example of the Government forgetting about our servicemen and concentrating more on their expenses.
althoug our servicmen are injured in wars they are well compensated with good pensions thousands in compesation for wounds. which they deserve they joined the forces to do such jobs during the last war hundreds of thousnands of servicmenes where killed or wounded they got nothing had to fight or go begging for any allowance todays forces are well paid i do not understand why charities should be set up for them they do the job they are paid for
