A MAN was assaulted in a Worcester alleyway as he was walking home alone at the weekend.
Worcester police are appealing for information after he suffered injuries to his face and arm.
The incident took place between 1.30am and 2am on Saturday, March 13, on Holywell Hill, St John’s.
The man was walking alone from the city centre, along Hylton Road, when he cut through the Holywell Hill alleyway towards Oldbury Road.
Two men pulled him backwards and he fell down the hill which caused injuries to his face and arm. He was then assaulted before the men ran off.
The offenders are described as white, both wearing dark clothing, around 6’ and aged between 20 and 30-years-old. One of the men was wearing a white baseball cap.
PC Daniel Fenn said: “This man was walking home from a night out when this seemingly unprovoked attack took place.
“I would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed the assault or two men matching the descriptions given around the time stated to contact police.”
