MUCH-loved English music will raise money for Worcester charities.
Worcester Festival Choral Society will sing Vaughan Williams’ Sea Symphony and Richard Strauss’ Four Last Songs at a fund-raising concert in Worcester Cathedral on Saturday. Both pieces of music are regarded by fans as examples of English choral music at its best. The choir will be accompanied by Chameleon Arts Orchestra, with Adrian Lucas as musical director.
All proceeds will go to Acorns Children’s Hospice and the Noah’s Ark Trust.
Mark Elliston, chairman of Worcester Festival Choral Society, said: “These two charities do so much for seriously ill and bereaved children in our county and so we will be holding a leaving collection for their benefit.”
Tickets are available from the Worcester Live box office on 01905 611427, from worcesterfestivalchoral society.org.uk or on the door.
