COMMUNITY arts groups are being offered grants of up to £1,000.

The Elmley Foundation has grants for arts equipment - as well as events and activities grants - for groups which are community based and managed.

The independent charity supports the arts across Herefordshire and Worcestershire with grants of £300,000 annually.

The activities and event grant is for groups who want to set up new arts and cultural events in their areas, while the equipment grant is aimed at helping improve access to the arts in communities.

Community groups, village hall committees, Women’s Institutes, playschemes and other small organisations can apply for the money, as long as they have a bank account requiring two signatures.

For further information about the Elmley Small Grants Arts Fund, please contact Sophie Mead, Grants Administrator at Community First, on 01684 312734 or e-mail sophiem@comfirst.org.uk, or visit comfirst.org.uk/elmley_small_grants_arts_fund to download the guidelines, application form and reference request.
