A STROKE support group in Worcester has been given a grant so it can keep meeting.
The group, which provides support for both stroke survivors and their families and carers, was in danger of stopping before Tesco donated the money for 10 more sessions.
Set up last year by the Stroke Association, along with funding from Worcestershire County Council and NHS Worcester, the group meets every second Tuesday between 11am and 12.30pm at St Peter’s Baptist Church, St Peter’s Drive.
Sharon Bouston, family and carer support co-ordinator for the Stroke Association, said: “The exercise sessions have been really well-received with the group members, so we’re very grateful for this donation from Tesco.”
