Charity concert was big success

A FUND-raising concert has raised more than £1,600 for two charities.

Serenata, a Worcester-based vocal group, performed in front of 140 people in a packed church in Ombersley, Worcester.

The evening was raising money for St Richard’s Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Group member Howard Robinson said: “We in Serenata had great fun preparing and presenting this concert with songs sandwiching readings - some poignant, some humorous, some just plain beautiful.

“Altogether an excellent evening was enjoyed by the performers and audience.”

St Richard’s Hospice cares for patients living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses and supports their families while Macmillan Cancer Support provides practical, medical and financial support and pushes for better cancer care.
