Victor Borge was a brilliant pianist and virtuoso comedian whose top-rating TV shows were loved by audiences throughout the English-speaking world, as were his live performances.
Borge carried on touring the world until he was well into his 80s.
It is rumoured that the Queen was so enamoured with one of his routines that she memorised it and performed it at private dinner parties.
Being Victor Borge comes to Hereford Courtyard tomorrow (Friday), starring the highly-acclaimed British comedian Rainer Hersch.
The star ruminates hilariously, and lovingly, on Borge's extraordinary life and talent, recreating many of his most famous routines, including such unforgettable favourites as phonetic punctuation, inflationary language and some of the Great Dane's best-loved piano shtick.
Tickets are available on 0870 1122330.
