HEREFORDSHIRE College of Art and Design will be taking part in the first of a series of events throughout the country this weekend, to help promote the forthcoming adult learners week.
With the 60th anniversary of VE Day approaching, the organisers of the largest celebration of adult learning in the UK - the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE) - have organised hundreds of learning events, including several celebrations looking at life during the Second World War.
The Art College will be on hand throughout the weekend at Berrington Hall, near Leominster, to encourage adult learners to return to education, whether it is in a part-time, short evening course or full-time mode. There will be a "make do and mend" demonstration including traditional felt-making and rural craft.
