OPERA lovers can indulge their musical taste at Kidderminster Town Hall the day after Earth, Air and Rain is held by attending a concert featuring tenor, Wynne Evans, singing the famous aria, Nessun Dorma.

The event, on Saturday, May 7, is another instalment of Kidderminster Choral Society's 2005 music festival and will feature a further solo performance by bass baritone, Roderick Williams, as well as soprano, Deborah Norman.

A group from the Theodor Storms Chor in Kidderminster's German twin town of Husum is also taking part and the choral society will be joined by their junior counterparts, Wyre Forest Young Voices.

The Elgar Sinfonia will accompany them and the society's musical director, Geoffrey Weaver, will be the conductor.

As well as Puccini's Nessun Dorma, the programme will include well-known choruses from operas Carmen and Cavalleria Rusticana.

Tickets for the concert, which starts at 7.30pm, can be obtained from the venue, Kidderminster Library Council Shop and Bewdley Books.

They are also purchased by calling Bob Powell on 01562 60112 or on the door on the night.
