AFTER last year's success, Double Take is organising another eco-weekend at Wentes Meadow, Presteigne, for the Bank Holiday.
Content includes information, demonstration and participation with an opportunity to find out more about renewable energy sources, the manufacture and use of bio-diesel, water and energy conservation, composting and local environmental projects.
There is also lots to do in workshops using recycled and natural materials - weaving on peg looms, making rush hats, paper baskets and rag rugs, as well as working with greenwood, woven hazels and metal windmills.
There are two Wentes Meadow Projects this year. One is helping to build a bake house shelter around a clay oven, led by Peter Lawley from Precious Earth, Ludlow, with Keelin Hawker leading a willow workshop.
The other project is a chance to carve local stone, working with images of Radnorship wildlife, at a workshop led by Lottie O'Leary and Tania Mosse
Entry is free and all are welcome, with a small charge for some of the workshops. Call in to Wentes Meadow on April 30 and May 1, between 10am-4pm and see what a difference you can make.
