LONDON-based rockers Fans of Kate will be making the trip to Worcester this month to play a gig at the city's Marr's Bar.
The concert, on Thursday, March 31, is part of a 39-date UK tour for the guitar-based melodic pop band, who are due to release new single I Don't Know What To Do With My Hands on Monday, March 28. The single is the second release from the band, following hot on the heels of the Fans Of Kate EP.
The EP, which featured the track Tape 23, received huge radio support and sold more than 1,000 copies, debuted at 88 in the national charts. The band have already built up a sound following on the live circuit and have a unique style that features Jez Dixon (keyboards, lead vocals) sporting a back-breaking stance hunched over his keyboard perched on three guitar cases. Their performance is part of the venue's Free Bands for Free Quid' night and will also see them supported by Superheroes, who have an edgy sound coupled with dark, emotive lyrics.
Also on support is Hinterlands with their raw British sound and a swirling mass of driving rhythm and distorto-guitar. Doors open at 8pm and entry is £3.
