HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY: The society welcomed Peter Sheasby of Bloxham to talk on European mountain flowers. Margaret Haines proposed the vote of thanks. The monthly competition was a photograph of my pet, won by Audrey Barham.
The chairman continued the meeting with congratulations to the quiz team for their performance on March 4 at the Cotswold School quiz. Because of increasing membership of the society, the Christmas cheese and wine will definitely be on December 16 at the British Legion Hall.
Next month's meeting will be on April 13 when the speaker will be Mrs J Scott and her subject Enjoying and Using Herbs.
The monthly competition will be five cut narcissi.
