ONE of the most popular books for girls is being brought to life on stage at The Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham.
Midnight, by Jacqueline Wilson, tells the story of a 12-year-old girl who retreats into a fantasy world but has to learn to face reality.
Jacqueline Wilson's books are enjoyed by girls aged about nine to 14 and her book sales have topped 20 million. She writes about children and teenagers in today's world and includes difficult themes like single parent families, fostering and bullying.
It has been adapted by Vicky Ireland, who was awarded the first ever MBE for Services to Drama for Children.
Midnight runs from Wednesday to Saturday at 2pm and 7pm.
