AN enormous green monster will be on the rampage in Dymock Parish hall next week.

But residents should not be scared as the creature is a character in Dymock Amateur Dramatic Society's pantomime, Frankenstein.

Set in Bavaria, it tells the tale of Frankie, a servant who is transformed into a monster after being bitten by female vampire Granula.

Other characters featured in the action include schoolmistress/panto dame Miss Nelly and her group of silly schoolgirls, thigh-slapping principal boy Prince Ludwig, upper class twit Count Dracula and nutty Professor Crackpot.

The evil Granula and Dracula are finally defeated as the result of Professor Crackpot's latest invention - a mint.

Frankenstein The Pantomime plays in Dymock Parish Hall every night from Wednesday to Saturday, January 26, to 28 at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for children. They area available from The Beauchamp Arms pub, Well House Garage or from Liz Thrift on 01531 890778.
