AFTER a string of poor Simpson's titles Hit and Run will be welcomed by fans of the cult television show.

Hit and Run is similar in parts to Grand Theft Auto but, rather than taking part in mass criminal activity, gamers control the likes of Homer, Bart, Marge and other characters as they embark on missions around Springfield.

Every aspect of The Simpsons is recreated, giving gamers a lot of freedom when it comes to exploring Springfield.

Rather than being confined to carrying out mission after mission, much like GTA, gamers can roam around the city, take part in sub missions and even attack fellow Springfield residents.

If unhappy with your vehicle you can either steal another vehicle or purchase one (this is sometimes necessary in order to complete certain missions).

In terms of difficulty, missions vary greatly. Although racing Smithers may sound easy enough it is not so easy to collect 30 monkeys in less than three minutes awkwardly positioned around Springfield!

To add further excitement any criminal activity, including the running over of pedestrians, can potentially lead to a high speed police chase.

Overall this is a must have for fans of The Simpsons, others would be advised to rent and experience this title.
