Dynasty Warriors has evolved an enormous amount from the original version back on the PSONE.

The PSONE version was a simple beat them up affair but now gamers indulge in full-scale battles.

Dynasty Warriors 4: Empires is the latest addition to the series and comes with several improvements and a very reasonable £24.99 price tag.

The aim of the game is straightforward. Gamers must control one character with the aim to take over 24 regions and unify them.

Gameplay is extremely addictive, gamers hack and slash opponents on the battlefield and can easily kill 400 men in a single battle.

To win a battle, gamers must either take over the enemy area or kill the enemy leader. Once areas have been overtaken gamers then have the option to capture enemy leaders.

Dynasty Warriors 4: Empires is the most strategic title in the series. However, careful and well thought through decisions are the key to success.

There are various lieutenants and generals at your command to aid you in your quest for supremacy.

Graphically Dynasty Warriors 4: Empires isn't any better than its predecessor but it is still an acceptable looking game.

If you are looking for a fun-filled, addictive killing fest with a strategical spin then this is definitely the game for you.
