SO councillors want us to shun the new Tesco store? Is this the same group of councillors that passed the building application submitted for approval or is it a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing?

Perhaps the councillors should be paying more attention to their own properties. In Cowl Street there are four shops, which I have been told, are owned by the council, that are a real eye-sore and have been in a very sad and possibly dangerous state of disrepair for the past five years. Why have they not been repaired and offered to rent or buy?

Perhaps if they fall down, then the council can demolish them and build a car-park?

I suggest it's time they got their own house in order if they really want to improve Evesham.
