AFTER the success of her undercover mission at the Miss United States Pageant, Gracie Hart (Sandra Bullock) has become too well known to carry on her field work so she is persuaded to generate a positive image for the bureau by becoming "the face" of the FBI.

Gracie does the rounds of the celebrity talk show circuit until, desperate to get back to real police work, she is teamed up with Sam Fuller (Regina King), an agent with serious anger management issues, to investigate the kidnappings of her friends - Miss United States Cheryl Frasier (Heather Burns) and pageant host Stan Fields (William Shatner).

What follows is the same predictable cat and mouse capers featured in the first film. The pair, at loggerheads from their first meeting, jet off to Las Vegas to work on the mission. Against all odds, they end up saving Gracie's friends and forging a friendship themselves. No-one could see that coming then...

There are a few genuinely amusing moments and some cracking fight scenes and the film is lively and entertaining but it definitely won't sweep the board at the Oscars.

However, if you've got a couple of hours to spare on a Sunday afternoon and can't face the Eastenders omnibus, give it a go.
