BEWDLEY High School pupil, Becky Lock, takes to the stage tonight at the beginning of a three-night run of John Godber's play, Bouncers, in Birmingham.
She is a member of Birmingham Youth drama company, which is presenting the Stage 2 production at the Crescent Theatre in Brindley Place.
The troupe has carved out a reputation for lively productions belying the ages of the performers.
Bouncers runs until Saturday before the cast present The Children's Hour, by Lillian Hellman, which is at the Crescent from Wednesday to Saturday, July 30.
Godber's Bouncers is set in the world of Fridays out in nightclubs, focusing on the doormen whose job is to maintain order.
Malicious gossip and its effects form the basis of the plot for The Golden Hour, which stirred up controversy when it debuted in the 1930s.
Tickets for both productions are available on 0121 643 5858 or www.crescent-theatre.co.uk
