HEREFORD Amateur Operatic Society needs more men for its next show, Cole Porter's Kiss Me, Kate.
The show, to be performed at the Courtyard Theatre from October 28-November 5, is set in 1950s Baltimore, where actor Fred Graham is about to begin a run of his own production of The Taming of the Shrew.
His constant battles with his ex-wife - the show's leading lady - threaten to jeopardise the run of the play and he resorts to some desperate measures (involving an habitual gambler, two comic gangsters and a close friend of the US President) in order to keep the show on the stage.
There is much for men to do in this comedy, whether you wish to audition for a lead or speaking part - of which there are several - or if you wish just to participate in the chorus numbers.
You need not have any prior experience of performing on stage but you must be aged at least 16.
Contact the society's secretary, George Powell, on 01432 820601.
