I AM sure that the leaders of the new course in learning disability nursing, to be held at Coventry University and University College, Worcester, have the highest of motives (The Journal, July 21).
However, I do feel sorry for their students who apparently will have to struggle through such turgid clich -ridden and even ungrammatical jargon as the following - 'an innovative practice of user involvement' and 'significant health inequalities to the point where life expectancy is significantly shorter when compared to the general public'.
The ideas are simple enough: why clothe them in such pompous language?
May I suggest a course in plain English?
