AUGUST won't be entirely quiet at Number 8 - there will be plenty going on while other theatres take a break.
Not only are there a number of children's workshops and events planned throughout August, there will be a month of Music in the Bar.
The Antique Six will open the season on August 3 and from then on, there is a group lined up every Wednesday at 8pm ready to entertain visitors in the bar area.
Folk band The Queensbury Rules will be in town on August 10, squeezebox star John Kirkpatrick will be entertaining on August 17, then there will a performance from 18-year-old pianist Jonathan Nicholls on August 24 before a range of folk music and instruments are brought into the bar with Dampiers Too! on August 31.
There is also the dramatic story of Chopin and George Sands, The Last Ballade, which involves a top performance combined with live music from Michael Lunts on August 13.
