INTEREST AND LEISURE CLUB: Recently the club had an outing to the National Trust property of West Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. There is a picturesque village which has old buildings dating back to the 15th century. West Wycombe Park and mansion was partly designed by Robert Adam and built for Sir Francis Dashwood of the Hell-Fire-Club fame in the 18th century who also instigated the rebuilding of the church topped with a large golden globe. West Wycombe Caves are historically fascinating and also helped keep members cool and out of the sun on such a hot day. The caves too are associated with Sir Francis Dashwood. Mavis McLoughlin, on behalf of members, gave a warm vote of thanks to Angela and Alan for arranging such an interesting day.
