So Pershore has a new children's pool in the Abbey Park. I wish it every success.
Some 50 years ago there was a children's pool in the Abbey Park. Unfortunately it had to be filled in and abandoned, due to the fact that dangerous rubbish such as bottles, tin cans and other debris found its way into the pool. One hopes the same fate may not befall the new water play area.
Regarding the skate park, people did not object to it as such, but in the siting of it in the Abbey Park, possibly destroying the peace and tranquillity of such a pleasant area.
Calling some of the honest citizens of Pershore, who objected to the above mentioned siting of the skate park, fuddy duddies is downright insulting and not the kind of language one expects from a town councillor.
