RECENTLY I had cause to attend Evesham Hospital, and was treated with the utmost care by wonderful caring staff.
What a difference to the Royal a very big concern, staff good, but without the personal attention I received at the local community hospital, for want of better words a country feeling you were their concern while you were there, you felt they knew you personally, which made a difficult day less stressful.
How can the powers that be think of closing a hospital like this, we all think we have caring people in control but this latest business leaves everyone including the staff very concerned as to the outcome.
There appears to be no clear plan as yet and a new hospital hopefully should be ready by 2009. I think we are once again being conned. I just hope the local community will be able to make the governing body consider very carefully any future plans for Evesham. We need this local hospital the welfare of the people is at stake and their needs should be taken into consideration.
