HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY: Forty members attended the October meeting when the speaker was architect Mr R Turner who gave a slideshow. His talk began with illustrations of his Cheltenham town garden and the second part was directed at the gardens he had designed.
The competition, an arrangement in a cup, was won by Pat Angell.
The meeting closed with a reminder that tickets for the wine and cheese party to be held on December 17 will be available at the next meeting on November 9.
The speaker at the next meeting will be Mrs Susan Barnes on Alpine Flowers in the Dolomites and the monthly competition will be A Seed Head.
