Global travel e-commerce leader Worldspan, LP signed a new multi-year agreement with Midwest Airlines to further enhance the carrier's Web site with robust Worldspan Rapid Reprice technology. Rapid Reprice is the first and most highly developed tool for repricing airline tickets when itineraries change. The agreement was announced at the Computerized Airline Sales and Marketing Association (CASMA) 2005 Annual Conference.

When Rapid Reprice is implemented at www.midwestairlines.com in 2006, travelers will be empowered to change their own itineraries online, in seconds, without the intervention of a customer service representative. Changes to ticketed itineraries are common for every airline, and critical revenue is lost due to errors during the complex manual repricing process, which most airlines employ today.

Rapid Reprice protects revenues by allowing carriers to recoup an average of US$215 per reissue through superior pricing accuracy. Introduced in 2001, it was the first tool of its kind to be deployed worldwide by major carriers and is currently used by most major US airlines and several of the largest travel Web sites.

Several airlines also enable traditional travel agencies to use Rapid Reprice functionality to change itineraries.

In 2006, Midwest Airlines will deploy both Rapid Reprice as well as Worldspan Rapid Reprice Select, the next generation in repricing technology.
