MORE investment and jobs are in the pipeline for Kidderminster firm, M&M Timber Ltd of Clows Top, specialists in landscape and garden products, with news of a lucrative order to supply treated timber posts for a 109-mile fencing contract.

Working in conjunction with contractor, Dale Roberts Fencing of Henley-in-Arden, the firm has 14 weeks to provide 88,000 stakes and 15,000 straining posts to fence off a new liquefied natural gas pipeline between Milford Haven and Aberdulais.

The new business means more investment in automated production machinery at the timber specialist's Clows Top sawmills, plus further recruitment of operatives.

Managing director Nigel Poyner said: "We are delighted to have won this contract against stiff competition from at home and abroad. This backs up our current campaign of 'Buying British' and will create new jobs using British timber products."
