On behalf of the Rotary Club of Evesham I would, like to thank all those members of the public who so generously contributed to the Rotary Club of Evesham's Tree of Light.

I would also thank those local businesses that gave us their support.

In particular Jay and Davis Crane Hire (Hereford), and Alan Wilkes Scaffolding, who's riggers so expertly place the lights on the tree each year.

The supply of equipment by Brandon Tool hire for the switch on ceremony, and Evesham Printers for their generous help in the printing of the reply cards.

The facility offered at James Osborne Optometrist, Cheltenham Rd Stores, and Phoenix Books for collection of donations, and the tremendous work carried out by the staff of Castons and others, in administering the banking, sending out thank you cards, and preparing final lists for publication.

Thanks must also go to the Mayor of Evesham, Mrs. Francis Smith, and the Town Council in assisting us with the set up and switch on of the lights. Apologies to anyone who should have been mentioned but hasn't.

Finally thanks once again to the Evesham Journal for the support given throughout the donation period.

The final amount donated was just over £17000, and this means that as well as bringing great comfort to individual donors, we will through the Tree of Light be able to give support to all the charities on this years list of applicants.

Well done to the people and businesses of Evesham for a tremendous effort.

Glenn Webb, Co-ordinator The Evesham Rotary Tree of Light.
