THE Ross-based mixed-voice chamber choir, The Penyard Singers, have been together for more than five years and, in that time, have presented 28 concerts.

With two important dates in their 2006 performance calendar - a Mostly Mozart concert with orchestra in April in Ross Parish Church and later in the year, at the invitation of the Cheltenham Symphony Orchestra in Ledbury Parish Church, the latter with a programme of Beethoven and Hummel - the choir is looking for more voices in all sections.

All their concerts are for charity and the year will also include performances of lighter fare in village halls.

If you can sing in tune, think you will enjoy making music of all kinds and can rehearse for a couple of hours each Wednesday evening from 7.30pm in the Ross Methodist Church, then contact Margaret Hall, accompanist, on 01432 840481 or Tony Washington, conductor, on 01531 633814.
