FANS of the Blues Brothers can dance the night away at a Kidderminster pub later this month.

Tribute act, Born in Chicago, will be at The Boar's Head Taphouse on Thursday, February 16.

Tony James and Guy Richardson, who take to stage as Jake and Elwood Blues, will perform popular tunes from the movie, including Everybody Needs Somebody, Shake a Tail Feather and Sweet Home Chicago with their six-piece soul rhythm and blues band, Cell Block Nine.

The night will also feature album tracks such as Rubber Biscuit, Soul Man and Green Onions.

The duo, who are both from Kidderminster and started the act four years ago, will be jetting off to Norway after the show and have also got dates in Austin, Texas and a tour of Canada planned later in the year.

Guy, who was a vocalist with Crowded House tribute band, Crooked House, said: "For me, the Taphouse is the home gig. We try to play it once a year. I really can't wait."

Since the duo got together, Guy said there had been "a constant stream of gigs", adding: "There's no looking back. It's a dream come true for both of us. I was a big Blues Brothers fan and so was Tony. I get paid for doing what I love - that's the great thing. I absolutely love it.

"We put on the accents and we try to keep the humour of the Blues Brothers as well. We do all the stupid dancing and larking about on stage and we get the crowd to sing back to us."

Admission is free and Guy said: "It will be first come, first served so people need to get there early so they are not disappointed."

Doors open at 7.30pm. For further information, visit www.borninchicago.co.uk
