THE story of a theatre group trying to stage a play in spite of constant interference from the author is to be performed in Kidderminster.
Play On by Rick Abbott will be staged at the Rose Theatre from next Thursday, until Saturday, February 11.
The comedy tells of a group of actors, who have to deal with an author who keeps revising the script.
In the first act, the audience will see the actors struggling in an early scene from the play.
During the second act there is a near-disastrous dress rehearsal, with the final act showing the actual performance in which everything that can go wrong does.
The author then takes to the stage to give an impromptu speech about the state of today's theatre.
Members of The Once Removed Theatre Company will present the production, which will start at 7.30pm.
Tickets are available from 01562 743745. Further information is available from www.rosetheatre.co.uk
