IN just three short years Beds and Mattresses Direct have outgrown their Hereford Cattle Market premises and moved to a brand new showroom on the newly built Hereford Trade Park.
They may be bigger, but the main focus of the company remains the same - a total commitment to customer satisfaction - the reason they have continued to defy retail trends, doubling sales year on year since opening their first outlet in Shropshire five years ago.
Customer referrals account for 60% of their business and management and staff are on a continual quest to improve service.
" 'Where good sleep comes naturally' is our motto," says branch manager Cheryl James "and selling a good night's sleep is our mission."
"Buying a good quality, supportive mattress that meets your individual needs is vital, so we encourage customers to take their time selecting what is right for them," she adds.
To help find the right bed, sleep advisors Elaine Stevens and Karen Iles emphasise the importance of telling them of any sleep-related problems - anything from a sore neck to poor circulation - to help them offer the best advice and find the most suitable bed or mattress.
The new shop is open seven days a week until 6pm, 7pm on Thursdays and Fridays to accommodate working families.
However, for customers who prefer a one-to-one service, senior advisor Ruth Godsell explains that owners Don and Sue Macaskill will also open outside these hours or visit you in the comfort of your own home for a one to one service. Call Don or Sue for details.
Beds and Mattresses Direct stock a wide range of beds, from children's bunk beds to top-of-the range super king divans, exclusive wooden and metal bedsteads and a wide range of very affordable 'spare room' beds, futons and sofa beds.
Prices start from £239 for an orthopaedic double bed, with a pocket-sprung divan available for a very reasonable £339. If what you're looking for is absolute luxury and comfort, try a handmade brass bed with memory foam mattress at around £1,199.
Whatever your budget, though, staff advise you to buy the very best bed within your budget to get the best possible night's sleep.
After-sales service is equally important to Beds and Mattresses
Direct, with delivery available seven days a week from 9am to 8pm at a time to suit you. No charge will be made within 15 miles of Hereford, a nominal charge made beyond 15 miles, and your old mattress taken away free of charge. Same day delivery is also available.
