DICK (Jim Carrey) and wife Jane (Tea Leoni) have a wonderful life. They're madly in love, have a beautiful home, a delightful son and Dick earns a good wage.

When he is promoted to vice president of communications at the huge corporation he works for, it seems life is just getting better and better for the lovebirds.

That is until Dick realises he is working for one of the most corrupt men in the US and things rapidly go wrong.

All employees at the corporation lose their jobs and are told they wont get their pensions or severance pay.

Dick and Jane then embark on a downhill spiral as they have their electricity cut off and are threatened with having their house repossessed.

Desperate times call for desperate measures and the two mild-mannered Americans embark on a robbing spree in a desperate attempt to maintain some standard of living.

This remake has moments of comedy but these are ruined somewhat by Jim Carrey, who appears to be warming up for the 2006 National Gurning Championships.

The actors do their best with a generally weak script but Fun with Dick and Jane had the potential to be far more entertaining than it was.
