ORGANISERS of a local food fair have had such a tremendous response they've been forced to order larger marquees to house everyone who wants to exhibit.

Now more local food producers are being invited to snap up the last few pitches available at Hanbury Hall's first ever Food Fair.

This exciting new venture will take place at the hall, midway between Bromsgrove and Droitwich Spa, this Saturday and Sunday, June 10 and 11, against the magnificent backdrop of this historic house.

Nearly 30 food producers from the county and the West Midlands are already on board, offering everything from chutneys to chocolates and herbs to honey, and visitor services manager, Rebecca White, said: "We've had such a fantastic response from exhibitors that we've had to order larger marquees for the event. This means that there are now a few more pitches available.

"We particularly want to hear from bakers, butchers and dairy producers, such as cheese or yoghurt makers. We would also be interested to hear from anyone who produces locally-grown fruit and veg."

Visitors to the Food Fair will be able to buy and sample a wide range of produce such as wine, traditional sweets, ice-cream and poultry. The event will run from 11am to 4.30pm on both days.

Ms White added: "The Food Fair is something we hope to establish as an annual event, and we expect to see at least 1,200 visitors during the weekend."
