A BEWDLEY painter is calling on fellow artists in the town to work together and help create the next St Ives.
Rob Baynham would like Bewdley to become an art colony, like the Cornish town, and attract visitors from across the country.
For more than 120 years, artists have been drawn to St Ives and art lovers flock to the town to visit the many galleries and exhibitions.
Mr Baynham, 57, of Welch Gate, who used to be a colourist at Brintons, said he believed Bewdley had just as much to offer, adding: "It struck me that we have got so much talent around here - painters, jewellery makers, potters and artists.
"It would be a good tourist attraction and really help to promote Bewdley as the place to come to for art."
