A FULL orchestral concert in Leominster Priory on Saturday, June 24, marks the swansong for Hereford String Orchestra conductor Nic Fallowfield.

Nic has taken the orchestra from strength to strength over the past 15 years and the programme will be a rousing finale to his years as conductor.

It will begin with the overture to Don Giovanni by Mozart and be followed by Beethoven's Violin Concerto. This will be played by Thomas Bower, who has played previously with the orchestra to much acclaim and who recently played the Elgar Violin Concerto in the Malvern Elgar Festival.

The second half of the concert will consist of Beethoven's 8th Symphony and will bring the concert to a lively conclusion.

Tickets can be obtained from Outback Records, and from The Card Shop and Fletcher's Newsagents in Leominster.
