AN ALL star cast motored into the Birmingham Hippodrome this week when Chitty Chitty Bang Bang burst onto the stage.

Coronation Street's Curly Watts - also known as Kevin Kennedy - plays against his role by becoming the sinister Child Catcher in this family musical.

Comedian Brian Conley and West End star Gary Wilmott are also part of a talented cast.

The show follows the same lines as the classic film that inspired it, as professor Caractacus Potts and his children and Truly Scrumptious are aided in their battle with the evil Baron by magical car Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

The musical is one of the largest ever to roll into Birmingham and contains a vast cast and spectacular special effects.

Demand for tickets has been so great that extra dates have been added to the show, which runs from now until September 2.

Tickets cost between £15.50 and £42.50 and can be bought by logging onto www.birminghamhippodrome.com or by calling 0870 7301234.
