LONG running British Jazz legend Acker Bilk brings his Paramount Band to Worcester's Huntingdon Hall this Friday (June 30).
One of the country's leading jazz musicians the well known master of the clarinet has been performing since the 1950s.
In 1961 Acker became the first musician to simultaneously top the America and UK pop charts with his most famous piece Stranger on the Shore. The track has been broadcast over four million times since it was first released on the airwaves.
Acker formed The Paramount Jazz Band in Bristol and they got its first break playing at a bar in Dusseldorf.
Tickets for Acker Bilk and The Paramount Jazz Band cost £15 (£14 concession) and can be bought by calling the box office on 01905 611427.
