THESE 10-week-old wolf cubs will be delighting visitors to West Midland Safari Park when they are unveiled in time for its annual musical extravaganza.

Sarah Bowles, a member of Wyre Forest Symphony Orchestra, which will be returning to play at the Safari Proms event next Saturday, July 8, met these cute new arrivals last week.

The North American wolf pups have been nicknamed Symphony and Sinatra by park staff in honour of this year's concert and have been noticeably vocal since birth.

The event, which is its fourth season, will be raising money to purchase a piece of vital equipment at Kidderminster Hospital.

BBC Hereford & Worcester radio presenter Katie Johnson will be the compere and visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic to the event which starts at 7pm.

Dave Dean, a winner of Stars in their Eyes, will take to the stage to perform Frank Sinatra's most well-loved hits and will be followed by Wyre Forest Symphony Orchestra at 8pm who will play popular classics such as the Blue Danube Waltz and Out of Africa, Jurassic Park and James Bond theme tunes.

The programme will also include Water Music, a selection from Carmen, Rule Britannia and Pomp and Circumstance March No.1 and the evening will end with a fireworks finale to the Star Wars movie theme at 10.10pm.

Elizabeth Lammie, publicity officer for the orchestra said members were looking forward to the event, adding: "It is always a fun event to play at. Everybody always enjoys themselves. We hoping for good weather as it always better performing on a beautiful summer's evening."

The park will close at 5pm to enable staff to re-open for the event at 6pm. Tickets for the Safari Proms are available by calling 01299 400700 or logging onto www.wmsp.co.uk
