TWO giant heads of Adam and Eve are to have their very own Eden. The works of art have been created by award winning Malvern sculptor Caro Sweet and they were first seen as works in progress by people who visited her studio exhibition earlier this year.

They have now been cast as foundry proofs and will soon be on display in a Herefordshire garden.

Adam and Eve stand nearly eight feet high and have taken the artist a year to complete.

She said: "Undertaking regular life-size portrait sculpture commissions has fed me with ideas for how I wanted to interpret the very traditional subject of Adam and Eve in a more contemporary way.

"Either individually, or as a pair, I wanted them to reflect all our possibilities and be something we could each relate to, yet retain a slightly ethereal air. Above all I wanted the sculptures to open people's eyes to their own beauty and uniqueness as human beings and to recognise their potential as part of humanity."

The heads will be part of an exhibition in the grounds of Hergest Croft, Kington, Herefordshire, between Saturday, August 26, and Sunday, September 17. To enquire about individual commissions visit www.carosweet.com.
