West Malvern's West Fest promises a great day out for all the family on August Bank Holiday Monday.

Among the attractions will be none other the 'The King' himself -- Elvis Presley -- played by Trevor Marston, landlord of village pub The Brewers Arms.

Elvis will arrive in style during the afternoon and spend some time working behind one of the bars at the festival, at West Malvern Playing Field.

The event opens at 11am and runs right through until midnight, with live music and fun activities for all ages.

Among the special guests is the Beatles tribute act Magical History Tour.

"They're fantastic," said Rob O'Neil, one of the organisers. "They go right from the very beginning through to Abbey Road."

The Fab Four are just one of many attractions.

"There'll be something for everyone at the show. We've got rock, folk, blues, cajun, jazz and more," said Rob.

The line-up includes the children of St James's Primary School, Rob McDowell, Ray Stroud, Carol and Tyler, Malthouse Passage, Flatworld, The Tights, Velvet, Strange Machine, Splatt, Taxi, Pewke Band and Steaming Heads.

The Lamb Inn will providing the traditional beer tent. There will also be a pig roast, vegetarian food stall and other food vans.

Other attractions include a bouncy castle, fun activities for all ages, craft stalls, healing centre, solar cinema, Punch and Judy and much more.

Last year's event drew about 5,000 revellers, and Rob says that West Fest is well and truly on the map.

"West Malvern is a great place to have a festival," he said. "There's so much local talent and all the proceeds go towards local causes."

Money from last year's West Fest went to 11 groups, including a play group, primary school, village hall and community woodland.

Entry is £2.50. WestFest T-shirts are £6.50, including a £1 discount for entry, in advance from The Lamb.
