A DROITWICH Spa school has been named among the best independent secondary schools in the country.
Dodderhill School, which is in Crutch Lane, was ranked 11th out of 50 in The Sunday Times Parent Power league tables for smaller independent secondary schools.
Headteacher Joan Mumby said: "While recognising that league tables never truly reflect a school's ability to educate and inspire a child, any survey highlighting the hard work, enthusiasm and success of our pupils is cause for celebration."
She added: "Our teachers focus on achieving results that represent an exceptional achievement for each girl, recognising her unique potential and ability. One hundred per cent of our pupils meet the government benchmark of five GCSE passes (A*-C), including English and mathematics. Last year Dodderhill School was ranked 25 out of the top 50."
