A good way to meet people these days is through speed dating. It is also a little known fact that volunteering can improve your love life, according to a survey from CSV Community Service Volunteers. They found that one in five 18-24 year olds and 8% of over 65's said that volunteering had improved their sex lives.
So using the speed dating theme, which has been used successfully by othercentres, Volunteer Centre Wyre Forest are hosting anevent to match potential volunteers to their perfect volunteering opportunity.
The event is at the Glades Leisure Centre on Thursday 19th October. Two sessions are planned, one in the morning 9.30 to 12.45 and one in the afternoon 1.00 - 4.30, which will include a free lunch and refreshments for those who book their places for either session.
Twenty six organisations from across the Wyre Forest District will be doing their best to attract their perfect mates! And as in any relationship, it is not always love at first sight that is the test for true love. Organisations and volunteers have a lot to offer each other. And the Volunteer Centre is giving 52 potential volunteers the opportunity tomeet that special match from a selection of 26 in a safe and supportive environment, whilst providing lots of fun and laughter.
