Woolwise Lower, Mill Street, Kidderminster is a family run business run by Tina and Roy Mantle who took over the shop in July 2005.

Tina is an accomplished crafts person and skilled in a multitude of design and arts and crafts including Knitting, Crochet, dress making and toy making to name but a few.

The Kidderminster shop situated next to the job centre in Mill Street provides an excellent service to the community, especially with its innovative "Knit and Natter" club held on the first Monday and third Wednesday of each month between the hours of 6.30pm - 9.30pm and every Monday afternoon between 2pm and 5pm.

Woolwise shop holds a drop in Knit and Natter session to offer help and advice for people of all ages from young children to grandparents. Knitters of all abilities are welcome to join including children, so whether you are a beginner just starting out or a seasonal expert like Tina joining the club is a great way to make new friends, share ideas, swap patterns and learn something new.

Members of the club also benefit from a loyalty club card where discounts are available on yarns.

The shop stock all the leading makes of wool and patterns including: Sirdar, Patons, Rowan, Wendy, Stylecraft, Robin, Elle and many more.

Woolwise also stock Children and Babies everyday wear and for those special memorable occasions designer Christening Gowns from the Collins and Hall Heirloom ranges are available.

If it's a special Bridesmaids dress you are looking for the shop have designer gowns from Justina Peach, Chantell and Lyatt as well as having a good choice of accessories to choose from.

An out of hours viewing service is available providing an appointment is made in advance. Customers can have all stock items including Gowns put by so this helps with budgeting.

Knitting and crochet are still very popular crafts with so many choices of textures, colours including multicoloured yarns available the creative mind can be challenged into producing some wonderful garments and creations including fun design scarves and handbags for children to make.

Tina teaches knitting at Franche School in Kidderminster that will host a fashion show sponsored by Elle during National Knitting Week 14th - 21st October.
